溴化锌/溴化锂，以 25% 浓度的丁醚溶液形式提供

溴化锌和溴化锂粉末容易飞扬，并有很强的吸湿性，使用“预制”丁醚溶液可避开这两大问题。
溴化锌/溴化锂丁醚溶液主要用于有机合成，例如：
- 通过金属交换反应将有机镁和有机锂化合物转化为相应的锌试剂，以用于 C-C 偶联反应（Negishi 偶联反应）
- 通过标准碱对羰基化合物进行去质子化后，使用溴化锌进行金属交换反应，生成烯醇锌
- 催化环加成反应，如富电子二烯与羰基化合物的 Diels-Alder 环加成反应
- 制备选择性还原剂，如让钠硼氢化物与溴化锌发生反应，生成硼氢化锌
