真空技術におけるゲッター材料として。水銀蒸気ランプの水銀ディスペンサーの製造に。粉末冶金における脱酸剤として。反応性はんだおよびろう付け用。チタン粉末は様々な火工品分野でも応用されている。酸化剤と混合してイニシエーターやエアバッグインフレーターに使用される。また、フラッシュキューブの製造、ガラスやセラミックと金属の接合、ゲッター物質としても使用される。
