A Diverse Portfolio of Liquid Amine Curatives
Albemarle's ETHACURE® products are high-purity, 100% active curatives that are easy to blend and handle without the use of costly heating steps. These diamine chain extenders/crosslinkers are used to cure polyurethanes, epoxies and polyureas. Our liquid curatives help formulators to easily adjust reaction times and minimize dust exposure while improving product characteristics.
ETHACURE® 100
The workhorse curative, especially for spray applications. In polyurea coatings, ETHACURE® 100 helps increase versatility and adjustability while enhancing product performance. In epoxy applications, cured parts display good “wetting” characteristics, high glass transition temperatures (Tgs), improved chemical resistance and low moisture accumulation. DETDA in particular is used for RIM applications, while ETHACURE® 100 Plus is a more color-consistent version of ETHACURE® 100.

ETHACURE® 100-LC & ULC
The lowest-colored aromatic diamines readily available. For applications requiring optical clarity, these products result in lower color in final parts, reduced pigment loading, easier color matching and increased shelf life.

ETHACURE® 270
Formulated to provide longer, adjustable reaction times when working with epoxy resins, especially at ambient and elevated temperatures. ETHACURE® 270 cured polymers display high temperature performance, substantial mechanical strength and good chemical resistance.

ETHACURE® 300
ETHACURE® 300 is the leading low-toxic alternative for MOCA. This versatile, easy-to-handle liquid helps eliminate dust and hazardous material exposure. Recent advances in ETHACURE® 300 provides the material with reduced odor. Cured polymers display excellent strength, hardness, modulus and elongation at break point.

ETHACURE® 420
Often used in combination with ETHACURE® 100 to adjust curing rates in fast reacting systems, ETHACURE® 420 helps improve polymer performance, particularly elasticity, surface finish, adherence capabilities and pot life.
ETHACURE® 420 makes it possible for formulators to produce the soft elastomers needed for caulks and sealants.

ETHACURE® 520 & 534
ETHACURE® 520 & 534 have favorable reactivity with a wide variety of prepolymers. Utlizing these products helps enhance the pot life and physical properties of the cured material.

FIRSTCURE® MHPT
Albemarle's FIRSTCURE® MHPT Accelerator is used as a promoter in benzoyl peroxide initiated polymerizations, helping to produce cured unsaturated polyesters, vinyl esters and acrylates even in wet and cold conditions.
