Los polvos de titanio encuentran aplicación en diversos ámbitos pirotécnicos. Mezclados con agentes oxidantes, se usan en iniciadores, incluidos los infladores de bolsas de aire. También se emplean en la fabricación de cubos de flash, para unir vidrio o cerámica a metales, y como sustancia captadora.
