El retardante de llama de anhídrido tetrabromo-ftálico SAYTEX RB-49 es un aditivo o intermedio reactivo que contiene bromo aromático.

El retardante de llama SAYTEX RB-49 está diseñado como un intermedio reactivo para su uso en poliésteres, polioles, ésteres e imidas insaturados o saturados. El retardante de llama SAYTEX RB-49 es una fuente de bromo aromático reactivo altamente eficiente. En algunos casos, los derivados del retardante de llama SAYTEX RB-49 se pueden sustituir por retardantes de llama con mayor contenido de bromo en términos de un porcentaje igual de peso en lugar de en términos de un porcentaje igual de bromo. El retardante de llama SAYTEX RB-49 permite que el nivel más alto de bromo reaccione en poliésteres insaturados a niveles de monómero comparables.
