Celebrating Inspiring Women in Mining

Recently Ellen Lenny-Pessagno, Albemarle’s Country Manager, Chile, was named one of the 100 Global Inspiring Women in Mining by Women in Mining UK (WIM). 

WIM is a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to promoting the employment, retention and advancement of women in the mining and minerals industry. The biennial “100 Global Inspirational Women in Mining” publication celebrates the “above and beyond” contributions of women to the global mining industry.

As Albemarle’s Country Manager for Chile, Ellen is responsible for representing Albemarle at a local level, supporting the execution of our corporate strategy, maintaining focus on corporate and local compliance, and leading government and community engagement efforts. Ellen is motivated by our company purpose, making the world safe and sustainable by powering the potential of people, and inspired by her female colleagues who offer talent, experience, and collaboration to make extraordinary contributions that help Albemarle produce sustainable lithium for the world.
