President, Bromine Specialties
Crawford is President of Albemarle’s Bromine Specialties global business unit and Managing Director of Rockwood Lithium GmbH.
Crawford joined Albemarle in 2012 as Vice President for the company’s Performance Catalyst Solutions division, with overall responsibility for the direction and results of the business. In 2015, he was appointed Vice President of Albemarle’s Synthesis and Polymer Solutions division, a role he held until taking the helm of Bromine Specialties later that year.
Prior to joining Albemarle, Crawford was the Director of Global Marketing and Business Development for Dow Coating Materials, a global business unit of The Dow Chemical Company. In this role, he was responsible for the division’s global business strategy and new business development initiatives. He previously served as the Global Commercial Director and Global Product Marketing Director for Dow Water and Process Solutions, positions he assumed in April 2009 following the acquisition of Rohm and Haas Company. Crawford joined Rohm and Haas in 2003 and held various strategic marketing and commercial roles.
Before joining Rohm and Haas, Crawford worked at Campbell Soup Company as a Marketing Manager. He began his career at SNET Telecommunications where he served in several capacities including new ventures, finance and marketing.
Crawford holds a M.Sc. degree in Finance from the University of New Haven and a degree in Economics from Wesleyan University.He maintains professional certifications in Management Accounting and Financial Management by the Institute of Management Accountants.
