水素化チタン粉末は、火工品と冶金の両分野で応用されている。起爆装置や点火装置に使用されている。また、真空管の製造におけるゲッター、金属へのセラミックの密封におけるろう付け助剤、合金へのチタンの導入、純水素の貯蔵庫、金属の発泡用水素源、粉末冶金における脱酸素剤および炭素吸収、チタン合金および焼結半製品の製造、アルニコおよびTiCoNaI焼結磁石の成分、FeNiCoAlCu磁石の保磁力の向上にも使用される。
