水銀制御臭化ナトリウム、40%溶液
水銀制御臭化ナトリウムは、40重量%臭化ナトリウム塩の水溶液である。
水銀管理臭化ナトリウムは、発電装置や焼却炉の煙道ガス環境に存在する元素水銀の酸化を促進するために使用できる。酸化水銀は、従来の汚染処理および装置によってより容易に除去可能である。臭化ナトリウムは、活性炭などの吸着材に添加して、元素水銀の吸収を高めることもできる。
臭化ナトリウム40%溶液は、臭化物濃度が高い溶液に比べて結晶化点が低くなる。この製品の総結晶化温度は-21°Fである。この特徴は、低温が予想される場所で溶液を保管する場合に有利である。臭化ナトリウムのユーザーは、40%溶液を冬季用製品として購入する場合がある。
