Titanhydrid-Pulver finden sowohl in der Pyrotechnik als auch in der Metallurgie Anwendung. Sie werden in Zündkapseln und Zündern verwendet. Sie werden auch als Getter bei der Herstellung von Vakuumröhren, als Lötmittel bei der Abdichtung von Keramik mit Metallen, beim Einbringen von Titan in Legierungen verwendet; als Reservoir für reinen Wasserstoff; als Wasserstoffquelle für schäumende Metalle; als Desoxidationsmittel und zur Absorption von Kohlenstoff in der Pulvermetallurgie; für die Herstellung von Ti-Legierungen und Sinterhalbzeugen; als Bestandteil von Sintermagneten aus AlNiCo und TiCoNaI; zur Erhöhung der Koerzitivfeldstärke von FeNiCoAlCu-Magneten.
