Job Description

The HPC Technical Service Engineer is the primary technical point of contact for our customers. You will have frequent contacts with refineries to provide solutions to their hydroprocessing needs, to discuss technical proposals and solve technical problems. You will support the business department with your technical knowledge by assisting them to identify business opportunities.

Location: The vacancy is based in our office located in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Travel requirements: Up to 30% of the time within EMEA region.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Prepare competitive technical proposals and recommendations for hydroprocessing catalyst applications to existing and potential customers with the aim of selling catalyst

  • Convince customers to choose the proposed solution

  • Perform technical services, like unit start-up, unit monitoring, catalyst lifetime prediction and troubleshooting

  • Perform studies for customers to optimize and improve profitability of their hydroprocessing units

  • Prepare and present technical papers at seminars and congresses

  • Assist the business in identifying technical needs and opportunities

Required Experience and Education:

  • Master’s degree, preferably in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in process design or refining process industry related to operation in Hydroprocessing units

  • Proficient English skills, both written and spoken. Other language skills are welcome

  • A strong mix of technical and commercial skills is required to be successful
