Albemarle Hungary’s Budapest office took the top honor in the large corporate category at Hungary’s prestigious Office of the Year Awards. The competition featured top companies including Foodora, Mastercard and Partner in Pet Food.
This achievement underscores Albemarle’s global commitment to excellence, sustainability and its Core Values. The Budapest office stands out for its modern, high-quality design and LEED Platinum certification—one of the world’s highest standards for environmentally responsible buildings.
The space emphasizes employee well-being through amenities such as ergonomic workstations, barista-style coffee machines, a dedicated relaxation room with a massage chair, and entertainment areas featuring PlayStation, foosball, treadmill desks and a Digital Playground where employees can unwind with games during breaks.
Designed with collaboration in mind, the office was shaped with input from employees at every stage—from surveys and furniture testing to the selection of height-adjustable desks and informal meeting spaces that foster connection and teamwork.
Sustainability also played a central role throughout the project. Located in Budapest’s eco-conscious 13th district, the office promotes energy efficiency and healthy living with features such as bike storage, showers and a rooftop running track.
While Albemarle is honored by this award, real success lies in creating a workplace where people feel inspired, supported, and connected.
