SAYTEX ALERO® Optima™ is a versatile polymeric flame retardant designed for use in thermoplastic formulations. Its polymeric structure provides formulation flexibility across a range of processing conditions while helping manufacturers achieve required fire safety performance.

SAYTEX ALERO Optima supports customizable material properties with demonstrated recyclability. Depending on the resin system and formulation, it can provide efficient flame retardant performance and good appearance while supporting antimony trioxide-reduced or antimony trioxide-free formulations.

Broad thermoplastics and foams applications

Features

SAYTEX ALERO Optima flame retardant is in white powder form containing 72-73% bromine. It does not contain PBDEs and is fully compliant with RoHS. No EPA Significant New Use Rule (SNUR) currently applies to SAYTEX ALERO Optima. Depending on the application, it is easily melt-blendable, returns high melt flow and provides excellent thermal and color stability while retaining high gloss and impact strength.
