Cesium Fluoride, purity min. 99.9 %, superdry
Cs-F
Cesium Fluoride, purity min. 99.9 %, superdry (CAS 13400-13-0, molecular formula Cs-F) is an inorganic chemical supplied as a technical-grade material. It is typically a white Crystalline powder.
Cesium fluoride is a fluorination agent for halide exchange reactions. It is a versatile base in organic synthesis and can be used in e.g. in polymerization reactions or in brazing fluxes.
Typical specifications include: PURITY min. 99.9 %; Li max. 5 ppm; Na max. 100 ppm.
Handling in moist air should be avoided. Safe handling requires the safety precautions typical for inorganic fluorides.

Handling Instructions
Handling in moist air should be avoided. Safe handling requires the safety precautions typical for inorganic fluorides. Thus, eyes or skin should not be exposed to cesium fluoride, otherwise severe irritation may result. Ingestion must be avoided because of the toxicity of fluoride.
Storage Instructions
Because of its hygroscopicity cesium fluoride should be stored in tightly closed containers.
