Albemarle News

At Albemarle’s La Negra Plant, and in the presence of former Minister of Mining Aurora Williams, five new strategic occupational profiles for the lithium industry were introduced, an initiative promoted by the Ministry of Mining and ChileValora. These profiles—which include roles such as chemical laboratory technician, mechanical maintenance technician, and process operators linked to lithium production—will help strengthen the technical skills of workers in the Antofagasta and Atacama regions.

This joint effort among the government, workers, and companies seeks to drive the development of the human capital needed for the sector’s growth, promoting common standards of training, safety, and quality for Chile’s lithium industry.

This program, developed together with SENCE Antofagasta and CEIM, is part of Albemarle+Local, an initiative that promotes local talent and supports the professional development of new generations.
