December 18, 2025

Albemarle recently won first place at the 2025 Kaizen Awards Chile for Operational Excellence in the chemical sector, earning a spot among the top 10 companies across all industries in Chile recognized by Kaizen Institute Global.

“This important recognition reflects not only the leadership and effort of the Continuous Improvement team, but also the cross-functional commitment of all our areas to the mature and consistent implementation of the Kaizen model,” said Alejandra Huilipán, continuous improvement manager for Albemarle Chile.

Huilipán noted that Albemarle’s progress toward a comprehensive excellence model spans all areas of the business, extending beyond industrial processes to include people management, safety and sustainability.

“The maturity recognized at Albemarle is the result of visible and committed leadership, globally standardized processes, and a culture of empowerment and continuous learning,” she added.

This award reinforces Albemarle’s strategy to strengthen its position as a global leader in operational excellence, safety and sustainability. It also highlights the company’s integration of continuous improvement methodologies and international standards across its operations in the Salar de Atacama and at the La Negra Plant in the Antofagasta Region in Chile.

The Kaizen Awards honor organizations that embrace the Kaizen philosophy of continuous improvement — driving sustainable transformation through consistent progress, process standardization and the active involvement of employees at every level.
