Albemarle Successfully Completes Early Collective Bargaining with Sindicato Unitario de Trabajadores

Santiago, September 12, 2023.- Albemarle, a global leader in the supply of essential elements for Mobility, Energy, Connectivity and Health, announced that after weeks of constructive talks, on August 28 it successfully completed the early collective bargaining process with the Sindicato Unitario de Trabajadores, which brings together 386 workers of the company.

The company, which has been producing lithium in the country for more than 40 years and is developing a series of initiatives for the new era of lithium, highlighted some aspects of this early collective bargaining that allows them to reach a sustainability agreement that projects the future of the company and its workers. The new agreement prepares them for the future in terms of making people and the organization grow, generates opportunities and common points to work together.

This important agreement establishes the conditions, rights and obligations of both parties, in a collective agreement that replaces the previous one, and which came into force on September 1, 2023.

This is the third early collective bargaining that the company has successfully completed this year. At the beginning of July it was carried out with the Union No. 4 of Workers Limited, and then with the Union of Supervisors, Professionals, Administrative and Technicians of Albemarle Ltda.

In this way, Albemarle closes early with all the company's supervisors.
