Albemarle Participated in Foro Litio 2022
 

This Wednesday, September 28, the Lithium Forum 2022 was held: "Accelerating the transition to clean and sustainable energy", an initiative that addressed the social value of this mineral for our country, resources, reserves and sustainability, and extraction technologies.

The event was attended by the Undersecretary of Mining, Willy Kracht; the Australian ambassador to Chile, Todd Mercer; Manuel Zamora, Deputy Manager of Community Relations of Albemarle Chile and Marcelo Valdebenito, Manager of Corporate Affairs of Albemarle Chile, in the modules Lithium and Social Value and Lithium Emission 0, respectively.
 

During his presentation "Sustainable lithium production: A just energy transition", Marcelo Valdebenito pointed out that the company is focused on implementing solutions to the climate crisis. "To do this, we must change the energy matrix and, for this, electromobility is the key, good news for lithium."

For his part, Manuel Zamora highlighted the fundamental aspects through which Albemarle Chile seeks to ensure that "our commitment to the communities near our operations, including indigenous peoples, is in line with the fundamental principles of basic human rights."
