The operation focuses on hardrock spodumene mining and spodumene concentrates, with two spodumene concentrate plants. High quality spodumene product is supplied from the mine to Albemarle’s nearby Kemerton processing plant.

The Wodgina lithium mine – one of the world’s biggest hard rock lithium deposits – is located approximately 120km from Port Hedland in the Pilbara region in Western Australia's north, and 1530km from Perth.
Albemarle and Mineral Resources Limited (MinRes) are Joint Venture partners in MARBL lithium, which owns the Wodgina lithium mine. Each company has a 50:50 share in the mine producing lithium spodumene. MinRes operates Wodgina on behalf of the Joint Venture.
