Job Description

Albemarle is hiring for an Analyst within the Supply Chain Center of Excellence Analytics and Productivity team. This position is hybrid and located in Budapest, Hungary.

As a member of the Center of Excellence (CoE), this position will work with a variety of process teams, individuals, and systems to provide solutions, participate in governance, and support stakeholders. The Supply Chain Analytics and Productivity Analyst will develop SC reporting and analytics capabilities, establish KPIs that drive impact, collaborate with corporate reporting teams, and focus efforts on initiatives that align with ISC and Commercial strategy. Successful execution of this role will require curiosity and collaboration to design and implement creative solutions with high user engagement. This role will provide data visibility and active analytical support, deciphering the data and communicating key insights for real-time data-based decision making across the SC enterprise. Developing this core competency is a key success factor for the ISC org, driving value across the enterprise and ensuring we are working on the tasks that create the most value for ALB.

What You Will Do

  • Establish strong relationships with key internal stakeholders to understand their strategies, objectives, and reporting needs.
  • Develop and maintain existing reports and dashboards ensuring relevancy and accuracy
  • Support the ISC intake process to streamline and prioritize all analytic and reporting requests. 
  • Work with SC leaders to define essential reports and KPIs, maintaining one version of truth and providing key insights for data-based decisions.
  • Manage data inputs to support needed KPI calculations and methodologies. 
  • Proactively explore available data to discern potential value to Supply Chain analytics and productivity.
  • Translate stakeholder needs into actionable steps that drive continuous improvement and support the business strategy and objectives. 
  • Participate in the reporting governance process, ensuring published reports and metrics are appropriately validated, maintained, and documented. 
  • Evaluate industry best practices and tools to increase productivity. Look for opportunities to drive efficiency and offer sustainable solutions. 
  • Cultivate an Operational Excellence mind-set from a global perspective by partnering with operational counterparts and the Continuous Improvement community.
  • Provide guidance and trainings for stakeholders on published tools and reporting.
  • Encourage high end user engagement through demonstrating reporting capabilities, executing ad-hoc analysis or reporting prototypes, and applying change management best practices.
  • Analyze external requests to identify trends and stay updated on reporting options and trainings.
  • Enhance reporting capabilities through automation, expanding data resources, intuitive visualizations, and quality improvements to deliver impact  

What You Bring

Required:

  • Bachelor’s in Data Science, Supply Chain, Business Management, Engineering, Computer Science, or similar degree.
  • 2-3 years Analytics and Reporting, Dashboard development
  • Proficient using Microsoft Tools – Power BI, Excel, Power Query, Power Pivot, Powerpoint, etc.
  • Analytical mind-set with solid data analysis and data mining, reporting experience with large data sets.
  • Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly and translate business needs into project requirements.
  • Proactive individual with strong focus on taking initiative, high attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently, prioritize requests from multiple global stakeholders, and meet deadlines.

Preferred:

  • Team player and able to work in a multi-cultural matrix organization
  • Outstanding presentation skills and stakeholder management, “Putting the client first” approach with confidence to interact with senior leadership.
  • Experience with SAP S4/HANA
