Supplier Code of Conduct
Dear Valued Supplier:
At Albemarle, we set high standards for our corporate and individual behavior. We expect our suppliers to have similar standards while carrying out their work. With a shared commitment to ethical performance, we will demonstrate to our respective customers, employees, investors and others a strong commitment to sustainable operations. To that end, Albemarle has adopted a Supplier Code of Conduct to promote compliant and sustainable growth while minimizing legal, financial and reputation risks.
Our Supplier Code of Conduct outlines principles and standards to ensure that working conditions in the supply chain are safe, that employees and contractors are treated with respect and dignity, and that supply and manufacturing processes are lawful and environmentally responsible. In all their activities, suppliers must conduct business in full compliance with the laws, rules and regulations of the countries in which they operate. Suppliers are encouraged to go beyond legal compliance, drawing upon globally recognized standards in order to advance social and environmental responsibilities. In order to comply with these requirements, suppliers should communicate the principles of this Code throughout their supply chain.
Many of the areas covered in the Code are easily understood and simple to follow, but some suppliers may require more clarification or additional discussion to gain a common understanding. If you have additional questions about this process, you can direct them to your contact at Albemarle, or you can visit our web links available on this Supplier Resources page.
