California Transparency in Supply Chains Act of 2010

Albemarle's Commitment to the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act of 2010

Albemarle is committed to achieving the highest standards of legal, honest and ethical conduct. As set forth in our Code of Business Conduct, Albemarle supports and values human rights and strictly prohibits forced labor, human trafficking, and slavery. Training on the content and application of the Code is mandatory for all employees. We take seriously and investigate all potential legal or Code violations.

Recognizing the importance of Albemarle’s suppliers following these shared principles, we have adopted a Supplier Code of Conduct. The Supplier Code of Conduct sets forth the basic principles for supplier conduct when doing business with Albemarle, including requirements that our suppliers comply with laws related to forced labor, human trafficking and slavery. We do not currently plan to require signed certifications from our suppliers.

Albemarle uses procurement staff, not third parties, to evaluate and address risks of forced labor, human trafficking or slavery. Albemarle does not currently use a stringent internal supplier qualification process for new suppliers. If Albemarle becomes aware of credible information about forced labor, human trafficking or slavery by its suppliers or vendors, it will conduct a thorough investigation and/or audit. Noncompliance by such suppliers or vendors may result in termination of such business relationships.

Any concerns about forced labor, human trafficking or slavery may be raised by calling the Albemarle confidential helpline at 1-800-781-6247 (if dialing from outside the U.S., check www.albemarle.com for local access codes) or by making a web submission online at https://www.albintegrity.com.
