Vice President of Integrated Business Operations
Tom Thomas is a global executive with over 25 years of business development and general management experience in the specialty, fine and electronic chemical industries. He currently leads Albemarle’s global Integrated Business Operations, a role he took over in March 2015.
Thomas joined Albemarle as Division Vice President, Fine Chemistry Services in July 2011. He went on to serve as Division Vice President, Stabilizers and Curatives and was a co-lead of the Integration Management Office for the Rockwood Specialties acquisition.
Prior to joining Albemarle, Thomas held various global executive management positions at Engelhard Corporation (acquired by BASF in June 2006), Honeywell Specialty Chemicals and FMC Corporation’s Lithium Division. He has also held key sales and sales management positions within Nalco Chemical Company and Unocal Chemicals Division.
Thomas holds a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
