Job Description
Albemarle is seeking a Instrument / Electrical Engineer. The position is located in Magnolia, Arkansas, working on the Magnolia E&I Maintenance Team.
Instrument Excellence Responsibilities:
-
Instrument system improvement projects
-
P&ID development/revisions, Control strategy, Estimating, Schedule coordination
-
Liaison with vendors, contractor engineers and maintenance
-
Instrument specification and selection (level, pressure, temperature, flow, PSV & PSD, etc)
-
Construction Package Design, including location plans, termination drawings, installation details, scope definition, I/O lists, Instrument lists.

In depth knowledge of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
Electrical Design Responsibilities:
-
Utility analysis, scope development, estimating.
-
Liaison with vendors, contractor engineers and maintenance
-
Electrical specification and selection (Lighting, MCC, Capacitor, VFD, etc.)
-
Electrical design, startup, and troubleshooting (Lighting, MCC, Danfoss and Allen Bradley VFD, Motor controls, Area classification analysis)
-
Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA 70E, NEC, etc.
Project Construction & Start-up Responsibilities:
-
Act as liaison with the site's construction coordinator, assisting with installation problems.

Loop checking, equipment set-up, program downloading, megger testing, loop tuning, troubleshooting and assisting with start-up.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent people skills - Customer focused.

Ability to successfully work with all plant personnel
Project Management Responsibilities:
-
Scope development, project estimation, project paper development, cost control and reporting
-
Procurement: project scheduling, change order review/control/ execution
-
Developing and writing applicable specifications.

Experience with SAP Project Module and other basic SAP transactions very desirable.
Essential Qualifications:
-
Candidate will possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.

3 years’ experience as an Electrical Engineer providing E&I design and support.
