number of policies that underpin our sustainability framework.
CODE OF CONDUCT
Our Core Values – Care, Collaboration, Courage, Curiosity, Humility, Integrity and Transparency – power our potential, guide our work, and protect our corporate reputation. Our Code of Conduct represents our Core Values in action and provides an overview of our expectations and standards for ethical behavior and compliance, as applied in day-to-day employee activities.
ALBEMARLE BUSINESS PARTNER CODE
Our business partners play a crucial role in our success, helping us to deliver the promises we make. How our business partners adhere to our Core Values is an essential part of their performance for Albemarle. Our Business Partner Code of Conduct applies to all vendors, contractors, sales representatives and any other partner doing business with Albemarle.
HEALTH, SAFETY SECURITY & ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
We are deeply committed to the well-being of all affected by our activities including our co-workers, customers, investors, and communities. Our Health, Safety, Security & Environmental Policy covers governance and safety stewardship; social responsibility, green chemistry principles, product safety, and environmental obligations; people and development; and financial performance.
HUMAN RIGHTS POLICY
We believe that business can only flourish in societies where human rights are protected and respected. We recognize the human rights of our stakeholders as expressed in the International Bill of Human Rights and the International Labour Organization's Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work. Our Human Rights Policy provides direction and guidance to ensure that our engagement and activities support the fundamental principles of basic human rights.
COMMUNITY RELATIONS AND INDIGENOUS PEOPLES POLICY
We engage with our host communities with care, respect, transparency, honesty and humility, and seek to make positive contributions to these communities. We embrace the opportunity to build mutually beneficial relationships with the communities where we live and work. Our Global Community Relations and Indigenous Peoples Policy governs how we engage with the communities in which we operate.
GLOBAL LABOR POLICY
We respect the labor rights of our employees and contractors as they are expressed in the International Labour Organziation’s Declaration of Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work. Our Global Labor Policy builds on that declaration and provides direction and guidance for how we approach workplace conditions, fair employment, diversity and inclusion, and how we respect the rights of children and young workers.
ANTI-CORRUPTION POLICY
We conduct business ethically and in a manner that is consistent with our Core Values. Our Anti-Corruption Policy provides guidance on the types of activity that might constitute bribery, the scenarios in which bribery might arise, and our requirements in those scenarios.
POLITICAL CONTRIBUTION POLICY
We participate constructively in the political process to advance and protect the best interests of our company, stockholders, and employees. We conduct our political activities in compliance with all applicable campaign finance laws and reporting requirements. This summary of our Political Contribution Policy provides guidance on our political activities, oversight, and reporting transparency.
ANTITRUST POLICY
We are committed to vigorous but fair competition and act independently of our competitors. We expect our customers and business partners to compete fairly, and we will take action against those who do not. Our Antitrust Policy provide guidance on the types of activity that may violate competition laws, the scenarios in which that activity might arise, and our requirements in those scenarios.
