How did you end up at Albemarle?

Kyle Sweet: I first heard of Albemarle from a co-worker at Michigan State University. It was meant to be because a month after having that conversation, I saw Albemarle's name again walking the University's job fair. I struck up a conversation with the recruiter, and from there, I landed an internship at our Magnolia, Arkansas plant. Eventually, a full-time opportunity with our Pasadena Capital Projects team.

Tell us about a project you are proud to be a part of:

Kyle Sweet: I am probably most proud of my work on two of our mega-projects: The Xinyu expansion in Jiangxi, China, and the Kemerton 1 and 2 LiOH plant in Western Australia. In addition to the professional satisfaction, these projects allowed me to fulfill my passion for travel and to face new experiences every day.

Albemarle brings so many new opportunities to the STEM community and has quickly become an industry leader. I’m proud of the experience I’ve gained while at Albemarle.
