Insulation foams

Rigid insulation foams are generally required to have flame treatments in order to comply with fire safety codes.

For insulation foams made of extruded polystyrene (XPS) and expanded polystyrene (EPS), we recommend the use of SAYTEX® HP900 flame retardant as the treatment of choice.

Insulation panels can also be made of rigid polyurethane foams. You should consider SAYTEX RB-79 or RB-7980 flame retardants for these materials.

For other construction insulation foams such as PVC-nitrile and polyolefin foams, SAYTEX 102-E, SAYTEX 8010 and SAYTEX BT-93 flame retardants are the additives of choice.
