Curatives

Albemarle’s Ethacure diamine chain extenders/crosslinkers are used to cure polyurethanes, epoxies and polyureas. These curatives are ideal for use in spray coatings, cast elastomers (both hot cast and cold cast), reaction injection moldings, adhesives and filament wound pipe applications.

Albemarle’s FirstCure polymer additives business offers a broad line of unique cure promoters/accelerators, specialty stabilizer/polymerization inhibitors and inhibitor blends. Our cure promoters are used to activate peroxides for low temperature curing of unsaturated polyesters, vinyl esters, and acrylates. Our aneorobic polymerization inhibitors are used for free radical scavenging and metal chelation to prevent unwanted polymerization during manufacture and storage of industrial olefinic type resins including industrial monomers, oligomers, inks and coatings.
