Tail gas treating

Treatment of tail gases from Claus units to remove residual sulfur is important to maintain environmental compliance. Most CoMo catalysts have adequate activity for this service but the catalyst should also be very strong and have a low pressure drop. Albemarle produces KF-124LD-3.2E for this service and it has been successfully applied for tail gas treatment for many years. KF-124LD is a large diameter, low density CoMo catalyst with moderate HDS activity and excellent strength.
