Coker Naphtha
line

Hydrotreatment of coker naphtha is one of the most difficult hydroprocessing operations due to the combination of highly reactive olefins, contaminants and high nitrogen content. Optimum performance for treating coker naphtha requires a system approach of several catalysts to address each of these issues. In addition to the main bed catalysts listed here, grading and guard bed catalysts are extensively used in these systems.

Because of the high nitrogen content of these feedstocks, NiMo catalysts are used almost exclusively. The highest denitrogenation activity catalysts with good tolerance for silicon contamination provide the best performance in treating coker naphtha.
