Steady improvements have been achieved over the years to increase both the crystal content and intrinsic activity of ZSM-5 additives. With the latest breakthrough in Catalyst Assembly Technology, Albemarle has introduced Z.O.O.M., a new ZSM-5 additive containing the highest amount of crystal commercially available. This ZSM-5 olefins and octane maximizer is designed to give refiners the maximum LPG olefins and octane boost without diluting the primary FCC cracking activity.

Z.O.O.M. features a maximum amount of a very active ZSM-5 sieve embedded in an open and active pore system thus maximizing conversion of the large feed molecules to the low olefins.
