Martinswerk, Albemarle’s only site in Germany, is located in the heart of Europe and employs about 570 people. The site was founded in 1913 to serve the aluminium industry and finally transformed to a special chemistry plant in 1994.

Martinswerk is the world's major supplier of special chemical products based on aluminium hydroxides, oxides and special pigments. Over 100 products offer individual solutions for a wide range of industrial applications:
