Albemarle’s Pasadena Plant is located along the Houston Ship Channel, sits on 409 acres and employs over 300 workers.

The facility operates around-the-clock, seven days a week, manufacturing a variety of chemical products. Due to its location, many of our raw materials are purchased via pipeline.

Our first priority is the health and safety of our employees, contractors and surrounding communities. The site has accomplished an outstanding safety record, recently completing 3,000,000 safe hours worked and number of days between a recordable injury.

Our Aluminum Alkyls complex is the largest in the world. Products produced at the site include Aluminum & Magnesium Alkyls, Alkenyl Succinic Anhydride, Orthoalkylates (DEA, MEA, DETDA), High Volume Lubricants and Fine Precipitated Aluminum Hydroxides.

This site has a volunteer fire brigade that is part of our corps of well-trained emergency response technicians (ERTs). This team is prepared and equipped to cope with any emergency situation. We are members of the Channel Industry Mutual Aid Organization (CIMA), pledging to help our neighbors in an emergency.
