Stabilizers

Stannica LLC is a joint venture of Albemarle. Stannica produces organic and inorganic tin intermediates used as a key raw material in the production of tin based PVC heat stabilizers by global producers. Tin stabilizers are important products in the processing of rigid (pipe, window profiles, siding, fencing) and some flexible (packaging) PVC applications. PVC heat stabilizers prevent the thermal degradation of PVC resins during periods of elevated temperature exposure. In addition to protecting the resin from thermal degradation during processing, heat stabilizers extends the useful life of finished products.
